Dr. Tom

Tom Moorcroft, DODr Tom Moorcroft, DO
Tom did his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont before attending the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM). While at UNECOM, Tom was selected to complete a one year fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Tom completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Tom deeply believes that the true source of radiant health is within each of us. Dr. Tom has been fortunate to have many amazing mentors, including Mark Rosen, DO, Eric Dolgin, DO, Michael Burruano, DO, Andrew Goldman, DO, Richard Horowitz, MD, and Charles Ray Jones, MD. He recently has had the opportunity to participate in intensives with Deitrich Klinghardt, MD and Ritchie Shoemaker, MD. Currently, Dr. Tom is the only fully licensed physician in the State of Connecticut to have completed the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society’s Physicians Training Program.

Tom’s medical philosophy is deeply influenced by his personal health practices. He enjoys practicing Ashtanga Yoga, cooking and spending time with his wife, Jill and their myriad of animal companions. Tom volunteers as a Canine Search Specialist for Connecticut Task Force 1, CT’s Urban Search and Rescue Team. He is also a Canine Search Specialist for FEMA on Massachusetts Task Force 1.

Tom believes life is meant to be lived in this moment. Our natural state of being is full awareness of the depths of life. Full awareness of this moment allows us to discover the joy of living and re-invigorate our own natural healing abilities. Tom draws inspiration from the works of Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie and others.

Dr. Tom would like to thank his dog’s supplement sponsor Standard Process. Without SP’s K9 Thyroid Support and other K9 support supplements, Rascal would not be able to perform his search and rescue work to the high level that he currently does. Proper exercise, nutrition and supplementation with Standard Process’s K9 formulas keep Rascal functioning at an optimal level.
