Explosion in Middletown, CT

To all our patients and friends:

On February 7, 2010 there was a catastrophic explosion in Middletown, CT. Connecticut Task Force One (CT-TF1), our state’s urban search and rescue team, was activated. Dr. Tom Moorcroft and his canine friend and partner were deployed to the disaster as Canine Search Specialists. Their job was to search for any living people who may be trapped under the debris caused by the explosion. Rascal did a wonderful job and has been commended for his bravery and thorough work. CT-TF1’s operations were exceptional and no rescuers or canines were injured.

In this time of tragedy, the physicians and staff at Origins Of Health send out our deepest condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives as a result of this disaster. Tom and Rascal feel fortunate to have been able to serve the citizens of Connecticut.

We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to our patients who have been very understanding during this time. Many of our patients have supported us when we needed to reschedule office appointments and understanding of delays in returning phone calls. We are grateful to serve such a great group of people.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Dr. Jill, Dr. Tom, Annette and Dana
