Osteopathic Manipulation

What is Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine?

Osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) is a form of treatment based on the concept that your body’s natural tendency is towards health. The structure of the human body influences its function. The goal of treatment is to improve the body’s structure thereby enabling the body to function at a higher level of health. By improving the body’s structure and thereby its function, OMM supports the body’s natural healing processes. This usually reduces the amount of pain experienced by the patient, increases the ability of the body to repair itself and increases one’s overall sense of well-being.

OMM is an approach to manual medicine that is guided by your body’s inherent healing mechanism. Through hands-on examination, Tom & Jill able to diagnose strain patterns within your body and use gentle movements to release some of these strains. The overall result is your body is better able to heal itself.
